Soul of Communication

Students are able to make mistakes while given the chance to learn from such errors in school. In workplaces however, careless mistakes will be taken in more seriously and may even be spreaded among the workplace via communication. The standard principle is to work as efficiently as possible as time waits for no one, no matter how much we like to stop it. Given a period of time, if you finished your duties early you can go find more tasks to do. This good behaviour rewards your effects by earning more and creating good impressions among your peers and work mates.

To influence your group, the leader needs to have integrity, effective communication skills and gratitude to fully grasp your teammate's efforts, sense of accomplishment and respect for you. With these values of a leader, the team will be able to improve on their work efficiency thus resulting in a more desired result.

Unit 1 Task 3 Paraphrasing

 It is essential for engineering students to understand the importance of communication as the absence of creativity will be stagnant within small teams instead of becoming more idealogical products. While the more experienced engineers are aware of these errors, the real question is why they did not impliment it when they are still students.

Critical Reflection

Module Learning: Before entering this course, my goals are to improve my oral skills and self-confidence by having more chances to present in front of my class after the end of my polytechnic life, with appropriate body language and start to not depend on the slides or scripts to deliver an impactful presentation. On my first attempt without a script for a draft presentation, I could not make words and forgot what my sentences were. I was so used to looking at my scripts that I was able to present fluently and with confidence but did not put in the effort to understand the contents. Furthermore, I made the audience sound like I was not familiar with the topic and unprepared beforehand, thus they are not following my presentation. However, this presentation came as a reminder that I can still perform just like my presentations with a script if I prepare and practice more.
